GETTING AROUND ALGHERO
Alghero
(Alguer in Cathalan) is an old Cathalan town, faced to the Mediterranea sea, on
the west coast in the north Sardinia.
It has been
dominated from the Aragoneses for more than four centuries.
That is a
consequence of the Cathalan language that is still spoken from the population.
Has a lively
atmosphere, with a good selection of shops, cafe bars, restaurants,
famous is the
“Catalan crawfish” and a variety of fresh fish and seaside fruits.
There
is a 5km long white sandy beach stretching from the port and marina to Fertilia.
It is an ideal
all year round holiday destination either to relax and dine out in the town,
enjoying the
local gastronomic delights, lovely coves and beaches wide range of hotels and apartments.

have accommodated in the 1541 emperor Carl V who second the popular
legend, defined the city "Bonita, por my fe, y bien
